Chloe in the hospital

This past week Chloe has been very sick. She was in the ER 3 times and finally they admitted her. This is the only picture that we took of her. I didn't have my camera with me and I didn't leave her side to go home and get it. She is doing much better now. The doctors seem to think that this is the start of asthma. She was wheezing so bad and was having a hard time breathing. They put her on several breathing treatments and started steriods to help her lungs. The albuterol (the medicine they use in breathing treatments) made her heart rate elevate and made her so hyper that she wouldn't sleep. Therefore, if baby doesn't sleep, mommy doesn't sleep either.

She was such a trooper. She kept chewing on her IV tubing and pulled off her heart monitor multiple times. We ended up having to put a sock on over her pulse-ox meter on her toe because she would pull that off as well.

We are so glad that she is home now, even though we have to give her lots of medicine and give her breathing treatments. We are thankful that it wasn't anything more serious.

This picture is Chloe in the wagon going for LOTS of walks on the pediatric floor. She loved the wagon and enjoyed her walks. We had to do something to calm her down after being hyper for so long!!! We now will have to invest in a Radio Flyer wagon!!!!!

Mexican Cruise

Well I just realized how long it has been since I updated our blog. Shame on me that it has been almost 4 months. Where does the time go. Well anyways....here are some pictures of our family vacation that we just returned from yesterday. My whole family (minus one brother and his family) went on a week long Mexican Rivera cruise on Royal Caribbean. We set sail on Sunday, March 1st and returned March 8th. We went to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. We all had a great time. So sit back, relax and enjoy the pictures.

Here are two of my brothers (Brian and Mike) the night before we left for our cruise.

This is Derek (Bill's son) and his girlfriend, Brittany. They flew out from Michigan to join us on our cruise. This picture is taken on the pier in Huntington Beach, CA. We spent 2 days there before we boarded the ship.

My cousin Stephanie and her family live in Costa Mesa and they came to dinner with us. This is Stephanie and her daughter Shelbie.

Chloe (6 months) waking up from a nap. She was so good on our trip. She slept the whole night through. Don't know if it was the rocking of the ship or we just tired her out each day. Some mornings we had to wake her up!!!! It was wonderful!!!

We got to see some of the beautiful countryside in Puerto Vallarta and also got to see many villages and how the Mexican people there live. It was awesome!

Chloe and I went to a play group with other babies on the ship. Royal Caribbean provides a great program for kids and babies. So Chloe and I joined the play group. She loved it!!! I absolutely love this picture of her!

This is only about 1/4 of the lobster tails that everybody demolished. One good thing about a cruise, is that you can eat whatever you want and eat as much as want!!! Can you imagine what that bill would have been like if we were at a real restaurant???

This was our waiter when Bill and I were on this same ship for our honeymoon in the caribbean almost 4 years ago. His name is Madan and he is from India. He recognized us and so we were able to catch up with him for a little bit.

This is Chloe and her big brother, Derek. She absolutely loves him. They even look alot alike. The next time he sees her, she will be so big!

Chloe on our way home. So sad to be going home but we had a fun time and look forward to going on vacation again (hopefully soon)!!!

I will try and not let so much time go by on our blog. Chloe just gets bigger and bigger each day. As a matter of fact, today we fed Chloe peas for the very first time and I didn't even take a picture of that. Another thing that I really need to work on. Making sure that my camera is ready at all times to capture those precious moments. Hope you enjoy all of these pictures. There are many more, but didn't want to bore you all to death.

Chloe's 1st Halloween

This was Chloe's 1st Halloween. She was our very cute little butterfly. We went to our ward's trunk or treat and then headed over to Maureen & Dave's house to go trick or treating with cousins Grace, Madison and Jacob. She slept through almost all of Halloween, but we still loved getting candy for her!!!! Enjoy some of these pictures!!!

Chloe's Blessing

We had a wonderful day on Sunday, October 26th, when we blessed Chloe. She looked so beautiful and so peaceful in her dress. She was a very good girl and slept through the entire blessing (thank goodness). We had lots of family attend and had a great lunch afterwards at Grandma Judy's house. It was a great day and Daddy did such a great job on her blessing. We have been truly blessed with such a beautiful daughter.

This is me in labor. Obviously you can tell that I was having a contraction. But I was able to have an epidural afterwards and let me tell you that epidurals are one of my top 10 favorite things in the world!!!! I would recommend it to any woman in labor!!! (I promise that I am not a wimp, but labor pains hurt, especially after 16 hours!!!)

This is the day that we found out that I was pregnant. We were stuck in Wells, Nevada. December 24, 2007. What an awesome Christmas present for us. She is a miracle!!

Chloe Elise arrived on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 9:44pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20" long. She has a full head of dark hair and big blue eyes. We are so happy that she is finally here and what a miracle the whole birth process was.
